When You Pray by Kelly Minter & Others
Do you have trouble thinking of words to say to God when you pray? Are you afraid some emotions are too intense to express to God? Do you reach the end of a day only to realize you haven’t prayed at all? You’re not alone. Prayer is the way we relate to God, but sometimes it’s a struggle. Throughout God’s Word, we encounter many voices who teach us how to pray.

In this study, join with six beloved Bible teachers who will help you study prayers in the Bible that can inspire your own. You’ll notice there’s no one right way to pray. As you draw near to God through prayer, you’ll find your faith strengthened and your heart united to Christ.

Evening Studies begin August 29

6:30pm - 8:30pm

The evening studies will include a meal each week

Luke: Gut-Level Compassion by Lisa Harper

PERFECTION NOT REQUIRED

Many of us believe that we aren’t good enough to meet other people’s expectations. Maybe you can’t wrap words around why, but lurking beneath the surface of the carefully curated façade you present in public, it’s there. Being missed and marginalized by others moves us to assume we’re not quite good enough for God either.

The great news woven throughout the Gospel according to Luke is that perfection is not a prerequisite for a deep and personal relationship with Jesus. In fact, this riveting account reveals that Jesus is especially fond of ragamuffins in need of a safe place to lean in and linger! Join Lisa Harper in this Bible study of a literary masterpiece that doesn’t celebrate the elite, but embraces the outliers, outcasts, and overlooked!

The cost of all studies is $40.

Child care is available for both morning & evening sessions.

Apps for iMOMs Fall Semester
Program begins August 27 at 9:15am

iMoms is a mentoring and support ministry for moms with school-age children and younger.  Our group offers a Bible study each semester for 12-14 weeks.  Through studying God’s Word together, we develop a strong friendship and support for one another.  Prayer is especially important to our ministry, and Jan Lyon leads our Prayer Time.  Our iMom Team is filled with grandma mentors who love the LORD and our moms.  Our 18 Prayer Warriors lift our moms and grandmas in prayer each week for their specific needs, and we pray for them also.  We’re thankful for this opportunity to serve the LORD, and “live life” with our moms!

Sacred Parenting: How Raising Children Shapes Our Souls

In this video-based small group bible study, Gary Thomas uses a unique lens to look at parenting, moving beyond raising great children to becoming more holy as a person.

What if one of God’s primary intentions for you as a parent isn’t about successfully raising perfect children, but about you becoming more holy? In Sacred Parenting Gary Thomas illustrates how God can transform lessons in raising children into opportunities to grow in the image of Christ.

It will help you and your group, rediscover parenting from a different perspective: as a method of spiritual formation expressly designed by God to shape your soul in ways you could not imagine! This study will help you dig deeper into learning how God can transform dirty diapers, toddler tantrums, and a teenager’s silence into occasions for becoming more like Christ.

The cost for iMOMs is $40.
Child care is available.

The goal of Women Encouraging Women is reaching, discipling, and mentoring women and girls through the transforming power of Jesus Christ to live out Christ’s example through consistent prayer and study of God’s word. Teaching and training them to develop their gifts in ministry and effectively change their world for Christ.

We are looking for sponsors to help us achieve this goal. We don’t want anyone to be unable to attend a study due to finances.

We are asking that you consider sponsoring another woman by contributing $40. You may contribute at tcaa.com/giving. Please indicate Women’s Ministry Sponsorship on the memo line.

If you would like to attend a bible study but need assistance, please speak to Suzanne Bias or Sue Cramer (iMOMs).
